Celebrate Your Anniversary!

Postet by Planaganza Gurl in category Anniversaries

When you were younger, your birthday was probably one of your favorite days of the year. However… as you grew up, you probably started pretending that it wasn’t such a big deal: after all you’re now an adult, and you have more important things to keep in mind… right? Well, we think we’re wrong. Your anniversary is not just the day you add one digit to your age; it’s not just the closure of yet another trip around the sound; it’s the day when you owe it to yourself to get surrounded with all your loved ones, and celebrate life.

When it comes to organizing a perfect anniversary event for yourself or someone you love, we understand that time is of the essence. And there never seems to be enough time to organize a perfect party, right? You’ll have to decide how many people you want to get, call designated friends and acquaintances, create a list of suggestions for presents… and let’s not forget about the cake! Do you plan on getting a caterer and host the party in your home, or would you prefer renting an appropriate space to make it big? Maybe you’ll consider getting some life music to create a most pleasant party mood? Organizing a perfect party can be extremely time-consuming; well, fortunately you won’t have to worry with all the technicalities – provided you rely on the help of a professional event planner, that is.

There are many adults who seem to enjoy pretending as though their anniversary is not a big deal. Well, we know better than that! Any anniversary should be a celebration of life, and we’re specialists of turning that celebration into a perfect and memorable event. Inviting Invitations

Silk box invitation (inside) Invitations are your guests’ first glimpse into the theme of your event.  Invitations can be as casual and efficient as those sent via email or as glamorous and elaborate as an embossed invite on linen paper encased in an embroidered silk box.  Both invitations announce who, what, where and when, but each also gives your guest a sense of what to expect upon arrival.  If you want to give your guests a sense of your personal creativity, you can opt to make your invitations by hand or by enlisting the help of your handy color printer.  Although this really does personal
ize the invitations and would be nice for a dinner party or social, it may not be the best option for guestlists over 50 -100 people.  However, you could, in fact, through an “invitation party” (popular for constructing wedding invitations) and invite your friends over to help you with the assembly.

If making your own invitations doesn’t suit your lifestyle, you can always opt to buy pre-made invitations.  FineStationery.com offers exquisite designs for every life event. You can even make pre-made invitations look unique by adding embellishments or patterned lining to your envelopes. Overall, you want your invitations to express the personality of your event. Whether that is simple and casual or elegant and timeless, there is an invitation out there for you.

Indulge at a Spa

What is better than lying on the deck of a Tahitian overwater bugalow with the sea breeze gently kissing your face?  Lying on the deck of a Tahitian overwater bugalow as a masseuse, with the hands of a god, gives you a deep tissue massage!  I would say that is the epitome of luxury.  While we all may not be able to go to Tahiti on a whim, we can certainly indulge in a spa visit every once in a while.  Spa parties are becoming more and more popular.  Its almost a tradition for the bride-to-be to gather her maids for an excursion to the spa before the big day.  You can opt to go to a day spa or have the spa come to you with mobile spas. You can even plan a destination spa retreat with your friends or sports team for a relaxing refuge from the every day hustle and bustle.  For some, receiving spa treatments has become a way of life. You can learn a lot about this new spa lifestyle at Spa Finder.  SpaFinder.com is a directory of many different spa locations across the country.  This is sure to be a good starting point for information on your next spa retreat.

Need a special gift? Consider a Spa Finder Gift Certificate.. They are redeemable at almost every spa!  This would make a great baby or bridal shower gift or for anyone in need of a little R&R.

Design your vision

I was thinking that it would be very useful for our blog viewers to read something other than my raving on and on about how excited I am about Planaganza.  So while the site is in development I will attempt to provide you with my two cents about… what else…event planning!  In fact, some people look at event planning as an art form and an events’ design speaks volumes about the planners eye for style.  Now I know the term “event design” sends off red flags in our heads that conjure thoughts of expensive, lavish, celebrity-attended events.  However, even if you don’t have an Oprah budget to hire Colin Cowie as a planner you can still design an event that will make your guests feel special.

First start by visualizing your event from beginning to end.  Visualize the room, the decor, the music, the aroma, and your guests.  What are you guests wearing – casual chic or spring sassy?  What colors do you see – chocolate brown with a dash of pink or vibrant orange with teal blue accents? Do you see dancing all night long or intellectual conversation?  All these pieces will play a significant role in your event design.  Every event, no matter how small, starts with a vision.

To help formulate your vision, start collecting inspiration photos.  Did you love that centerpiece you saw in this month’s issue of Brides magazine?  Do you just adore the invitations that your friend sent out for her husbands 40th birthday party?  Collect photos of these things and blend them together to make your event unique.  Remember, your vision will become your event.
